LARGE,
7
X
70,
WWII
IMPERIAL
JAPANESE
(ARMY)
BINOCULARS
W/
TROPICAL
CASE
These
high-powered
(7
X
70),
WWII
Japanese
Army
binoculars,
are
serial
numbered
and
maker-marked
(see
pics),
and
come
with
the
bottom
portion
of
their
original,
"tropical"
issue,
olive-green
painted,
fabric
carrying
case,
including
the
attached,
khaki-colored
web
strap
(see
pics).
The
steel
cased
binocular
barrels
are
partially
covered
in
a
grained,
black
"leatherette",
which
is
absent
in
a
couple
of
small
areas
(see
pics).
The
original
brown
leather
neck
strap,
often
missing,
is
still
attached
to
the
steel
case.
The
optics
are
very
clear,
although
in
need
of
a
good
cleaning,
and
are
not
cracked,
damaged,
or
showing
evidence
of
tropical
fungus
infestation.
I'm
fairly
sure
these
are
Japanese
ARMY
binoculars,
but
because
of
their
high
power,
they
could
also
be
for
the
Imperial
Navy,
or
Japanese
marines.
