GUARANTEE OF AUTHENTICITY

All items are fully guaranteed to be authentic, and fully guaranteed to be of the appropriate period, described for a particular item, unless otherwise specified in the description. I do not sell "copies" or reproductions as a general policy. However, if an item is thought to be a "museum copy", that fact will be clearly stated in the description for that item. The "Guarantee of Authenticity" has no specified time limit, perse. However, because of the complex nature of militaria collecting, and the sometimes differing opinions of "experts" in various specific collecting fields, often, even the experts disagree as to the originality of a particular item. It is precisely for this reason that I offer my "Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity". By this policy, I hope to remove any anxiety from the collector/investor's mind about the possibility of getting "stuck with" a spurious item, simply because the "inspection period" for that item may have expired.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

I accept payment in the form of personal checks, bank checks, money orders, cashier checks and certified checks. All checks should be made payable to: Dr. Ronald A. Distelhorst. Bank to bank wire transfers may also be arranged, especially for foreign buyers. Payment may be made using your credit card, or debit card, via "PayPal". However, a 3.5% service will be added if this payment option is used.

"DEFERRED PAYMENT", OR "LAY-AWAY" PAYMENT OPTIONS:

Any item with a listed price of greater than $500.00, may be purchased on a deferred payment,or, "Lay-Away" Plan, with an initial down-payment of one-third (1/3) of the purchase price, with the remaining balance to be paid in full within ninety(90) days thereafter. No item on "Lay-Away" will be shipped until payment in full has been made. Any item bought on the "Lay-Away" option and subsequently returned for a refund is subject to a fifteen-percent (15%) restocking fee, not to exceed $300.00. Any item bought on "Lay-Away" and not fully paid for within 90 days will be subject to the same 15% restocking fee, with the balance of the down payment returned to the buyer. There shall be NO restocking fee on returned items NOT purchased on the deferred payment, or "Lay-Away"

SHIPPING & HANDLING

The buyer pays all handling and actual shipping costs, unless otherwise specified in the description for that item. I will ship internationally. Overseas mailing modes and charges will be determined on an individual case basis. My preferred method of shipping is the USPS, either PRIORITY MAIL or REGISTERED MAIL. I also will ship via EXPRESS MAIL or FedEx, at the buyer's request and expense. USPS Insurance for full-value of the item is STRONGLY advised and recommended, as I cannot be responsible for any damage incurred during transit via any common carrier.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY/INSPECTION PERIOD/CONSIGNMENT RETURN POLICY

Any item may be returned for a full refund, less actual shipping & handling costs, if returned within seven(7) days following receipt of the item(s). Of course, all returned items must be received back in the same condition as sent. Any damage resulting from untoward disassembly, cleaning, "polishing", or other alteration of "condition" of an item, may result in the denial of a full-refund for that item. My generous seven-day inspection period is offered to insure the buyer against any errors in my description of an item's condition, etc. I want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Therefore, I offer a "no-hassle" return policy on all items I sell. From time to time, certain items offered for sale may be identified as "CONSIGNMENT" items. In these cases, such items are often accompanied by "TERMS AND CONDITIONS" of sale which differ greatly from those accompanying items that I own. In such cases, these Terms & Conditions should be carefully perused by a prospective buyer, as they are often, of necessity, less "liberal", and usually more restrictive and stringent than those afforded to items that I own outright.
